ALLEN G. GARBER, CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Mr. Garber has been a recreational diver since 1974 and has dived in such places as the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, St. Martin and the Great Barrier Reef. He holds a BBA from the University of Massachusetts in Marketing with a minor in Civil Engineering. He also holds a USCG operator’s license and has sailed both offshore and competitively. Mr. Garber has been involved in the marine industry for the past nine years and most recently was the Brand Manager & National Sales Manager for a major manufacturer of offshore recreational boats. Mr. Garber is the Business Development Director and is responsible for all the Marketing, Recruiting and Promotion of CDA.
LINWOOD NOBLE, DIRECTOR OF COMPLIANCE
Mr. Noble a four year U.S. Navy veteran, with over seven years of higher education counseling and management experience. He holds a Certification through the National Center for Construction Education and Research as a Craft Instructor, Black belt in Six Sigma, Associate’s degree in Journalism, Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, with a minor in marketing, and a Master’s degree in education with a minor in college administration. He is currently pursuing a PHD in educational psychology. Mr. Noble is the Director of Compliance with CDA Technical Institute, and he is passionate about helping students achieve their career goals.
AMBER JAXON, COMPTROLLER
Amber brings several years of bookkeeping experience to CDA. She is currently enrolled in accounting classes at a local college. Amber maintains all student accounts, ledgers and records. Her duties also comprise compliance with State and Federal accrediting agencies.
Judy McCathy, STUDENT ACCOUNTS
Ms. McCarty is originally from Upstate New York and recently moved to Florida. She has over 20 years’ experience in the Bookkeeping/Accounting field. She has an Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Clinton Community College. She currently is in Student Accounts at CDA to provide accurate, professional and courteous service to students with regard to student finances.
ADam leese, PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Mr. Leese began his welding career 1994 as the lead welder for Carlisle Container in Green Cove Springs. In 1995 he joined the United States Marine Corps, and spent the next four years as an Artillery Fire Direction Control Operator, with his last year spent as a Safety Specialist with Base Safety. After being honorably discharged from the Marine Corps, Mr. Leese worked for a jewelry manufacturer soldering precious metals before moving back to Florida. Upon his return to Florida, Mr. Leese began working as a welder in heavy equipment repair, and shipyard repair before attending the Applied Welding Technologies Program at First Coast Technical College. Mr. Leese began his teaching career in 2003 when he was hired by First Coast Technical College as the Assistant Instructor for the welding program, where he stayed until 2006. Mr. Leese spent the next five years working as a custom fabricator/welder for a local fabrication shop. He returned to teaching in early 2011 with FCTC before being offered a position at CDA Technical Institute. Mr. Leese is skilled in SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW. He has a BS/BM degree from the University of Phoenix, is a member of the American Welding Society (AWS) and is certified under AWS in 6G Pipe.

DREW DUFFY, ADMISSIONS REPRESENTATIVE
Mr. Duffy is a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving for nine years as a helicopter crew chief, flight instructor and trainer. Over the last 14 years, he has worked for post-secondary educational institutions & regional workforce development organizations. He has held assorted positions such as Business Office Manager, Corporate Trainer, Employment Specialist, Employer Liaison and Director of Graduate Services. He is a member of the American Welding Society and an active player in the Northeast Florida Section. Drew was recruited to CDA because of his welding industry and educational experience and is currently an Admissions Representative. His duties include recruiting and placement assistance.
SCOTT LEVINE, ADMISSIONS REPRESENTATIVE
Mr. Levine is originally from Massachusetts. He moved to Florida to attend Jacksonville University, majoring in Marketing and minoring in Management. He received his Bachelor of Science degree and e has over six years of experience career education industry. He is currently an Admissions Representative with CDA Technical Institute. He works closely with students in the admissions process and is devoted to helping students achieve their career goals.
SANDRA HOOD, REGISTRAR
Mrs. Hood is originally from Dallas, Texas. She brings over 20 years of experience in the accounting and business administration to CDA. She currently serves as the Registrar, handling all student files, grades, attendance, transcripts and diplomas.
LINDA BROWN, DIRECTOR OF FINANCIAL AID
Ms. Brown is a native of Jacksonville. She attended FCCJ and majored in Accounting. She has 20 years of experience in both Accounting and Financial Aid. Her areas of expertise are accounting, financial aid, student funding and relationship building. Linda is currently involved in all aspects of the Financial Aid Process. Her greatest pleasure is making a positive difference in the lives of the students at CDA.
RACHEAL HORMIS, FINANCIAL AID ADMINISTRATOR
Ms Hormis has extensive experience in the financial aid field. Prior to working at CDA she worked for many years in admissions. Rachael is a proud graduate of the University of Central Florida where she graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Management in December of 2004. Her greatest joy is seeing our students reach for the stars and then get there. Her motto is “Become the Light.” Attention to detail, good listening skills, and great empathy are symbols of appreciation by current students as well as graduates. When she is not working, Rachael can be found volunteering at her local church, working on a book about the power of positivity, or spending quality time with her family and Cocker Spaniel Cooper.
RICHARD FEGELEY, RETAIL GENERAL MANAGER
Mr. Fegeley was originally from Jacksonville, Florida, but grew up in New Jersey where his love for the water began. Throughout his grade school years he was a state swimmer and would work the weekends at a local marina. He moved back to Jacksonville to attend college where he majored in Business with a minor in Marketing. He brings 17 years of experience in Customer Service and Retail Management. For the last 10 years, he has been involved in recreational scuba. Currently he holds the title Director of Operations for The National Academy of Scuba Educators (NASE Worldwide). Richard strives to be a positive contributor to lives of the students at CDA. He believes in enhancing their experience during free time and after school through Scuba.
